I have had some French training so I am interestedly reading french in the other sections, but not too confident in my French so I will introduce myself here.

I have a question.

I have a 90L tank and have bought three juvenile keyhole cichlids. Each one is about 3 or 4 cm. Will they be okay, or should I take them back and get something else? I think it's too much trouble to get a bigger tank.

edit: pardon me - I should have searched first. This seems to have been discussed in another thread already (100L in that case).

Also, is three a good number to start with these fish, or should I take one back, or get a fourth?

Welcome on our website ! I think you can keep your three maronii, but when a pair will form, you will probably have to take one back because of the dimensions of the tank, which is a bit little.

Enjoy with your maronii anf if you can, take a bigger tank.

What do you mean by "I think it's too much trouble to get a bigger tank." ?
A 150 or 200 L tank is not much bigger than a 90 L, and it's sometimes easier to look after it .
If the problem is money... well that's different

Part of it is the cost, part of it is logistics: that the tank is well-established, I can't take it back, and I don't have room for a second. But perhaps in future these problems will be lifted.

(oh - I also traded away one keyhole cichlid awhile ago, so that I only have two.) I believe that all three were/are males.
